Repair Eligibility & Income Limits
Our Critical Home Repair program helps income-eligible Kalamazoo County homeowners with repairs that affect health, safety, and the condition of their home. Here’s what’s required and what the program covers.
Who Qualifies
To participate, you must:
- Live in Kalamazoo County
- Own your home, or be purchasing it through a mortgage
- Have a household income at or below 80% of Area Median Income (see the table below)
- Need a repair that affects health and safety, or that would prevent further damage to your home. View what we repair here.
Income Limits
Your household income must not exceed the limit for your household size.

Household size means everyone living in the home, not just the people on the mortgage. If your household is larger than eight, call us.
